ACS And JGB Encourage Employees To Give Back
Marion, Indiana—Advanced Cabinet Systems (ACS), a manufacturer of Division 12 Plastic Laminate Casework and Retail Store Fixtures, and JGBowers, Inc. (JGB), their parent company, have developed a volunteer time off (VTO) program in efforts to give back to the community. The program encourages employees to donate time to a charitable organization such as participating in a Habitat for Humanity build or helping an elderly or disabled neighbor with common tasks such as yard work. With the newly added VTO program, each JGB and ACS employee is eligible to donate some of their time per calendar year towards such charitable activities.
ACS and JGB are committed to bettering the lives of their employees and serving their local community. “The purpose of the VTO program is to support activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work and the issues that impact quality of life for our team members and people in our community,” says Whitney Bowers, Vice President—ACS and JGB. The program allows employees to donate their time in multiple places, maximizing the overall benefit to the community. “We developed the program with our communities and employee’s in mind. If one of our employees has an elderly neighbor who needs their gutters cleaned, we want them to be able to do so to preserve the value of the communities we live and work in. We also want them to be able to volunteer time multiple places if they so choose,” says Bowers.
