Advanced Cabinet Systems (ACS) Joins Forces with AWI

Philip Bowers, President of Advanced Cabinet Systems (ACS),is the newest member to the Architectural Woodworking Institute's (AWI) marketing committee. This position willenable ACS to have a voice within one of the strongest and largest woodworking organizations in the industry. "This i sa wonderful opportunity" says Bowers. "Our mission at ACS is to do all that we can to advance the woodworking industry and pull it out of the dark ages; a seat on the marketing committee of such a large organization is the perfect platform to help us fulfil our mission."

The committee is filled with several other manufacturers from across the country along with some employees of the AWI, all with diverse backgrounds and industry experience. "The group has some wild ideas that, I think, will garner a lot of attention from the architectural, design and construction communities." Bowers goes on to say that it is important for individuals whom work with the industry to understand the impact that wood and laminated products can have in large construction projects.

ACS has also recently gained representation on the board of the Construction Specification's Institute's board and participates regularly in many industry groups.

Advanced Cabinet Systems is located in Marion,Indiana and has been manufacturing casework and fixture products since 1983.  Its facility practices LEAN manufacturing and has received AWI Premium Certification. Its retail fixture division specializes in store fixtures, floorplan layout, feature and focus displays, and cashwraps. The casework division specializes in casework, millwork and solid surface fabrication. ACS is owned by JGBowers, INC, a family owned construction business founded in Marion,Indiana.
